Jacco and Joost de Ridder winning 6th NPO on 2013's first long distance race

On the 25th of May the first long distance day races are scheduled for all of Holland. But the Province of Sealand already planned their first LD-race on the 11th of May.

The birds were released in Tours, for the shortest lofts it was shortly less then 500 km. Not withstanding the adverse weatherconditions and the strong tailwinds de foreknown fanciers took most of the relics. One of these wellknown lofts is that of son Jacco and father Joost de Ridder, who used to dominate the 'Fondspiegel' when it was still there.

The combination basketed 20 racers and won 11 prizecards, starting with 6-27-75 and so on. A very nice detail is that their early bird winning the 6th NPO (NL12-3202277) is a youngster bred from their famous Nl06-0700569 'Primavera'. This fantastic bird won 1st NPO Tours 5.853 birds, 11th NPO La Souterraine 2.899 birds, 19th NPO Châteauroux 3.279 birds and so on.

He was auctioned in 2012 on DreamPigeons and sold to China for the great sum of 6.700 Euro. His dam is bred by Will & Falco Ebben from their masterbreeder NL07-1513778 'Cyrus'.
